"To define him a musician would be too reductive...To call him an artist? It would be a little vague....A music master instead? We would use a school terminology...So, how to call him? As matters stand, it would be better to start from adjectives if we want to introduce him, considering, moreover, Francesco Oliviero and music are all the same.
Have a look at his curriculum: no doubt he is among the only musicians, if not the only one, who have tested the application of multimedial technology to the variegated but somewhat monotonous world of music when it was hardly conceivable.
Everybody can see his achievement: a virtual orchestra completely reproduced in Formis Studio. It was born thanks to Francesco's perfect perception. He has succedeed in masterly joining the traditional music notes with the progressing information technology , of which he is a versed expert, as he stands as a researcher and a teacher in very famous music schools, first as a composer and secondly as an arranger.
We just have to listen to one of the numberless musical excerpts composed by Francesco Oliviero to get entranced and at the same time caught by the exceptionality of the sounds he is able to product or reproduct."

Should we say he is an eclectic artiist? Surely we should. Is he a stubborn man? Indeed he is. Is he humble? Yes, he is, for, as he uses to say frequently, " We have always something to learn during our lifetime and anybody could be a teacher. Even though some people think it necessary to keep social classes distinguished, no matter which social class a person was born in." Is he irritable? As needed, for he really can't tolerate injustice. Is he generous? Very, very much, since he considers his work " a real mission, that is learning, researching and teaching other people the secrets but also the tricks of the trade." Is he lively? Any creative artist is, and he couldn't help being as such, in any sense of the word. Is he an indefatigable worker? When he is working at a musical or a movie soundtrack or even at a simple musical excerpt time seems to run faster. Is he a willing one? Indeed he is well disposed towards people who are as kind as to ask him for something, and not towards those who make claims instead.
Maybe it's because Francesco Oliviero is a precious friend and better, he's like a brother to me, but he is by far more than a simple composer, arranger and maker of new and refiined tunes
